Today is Ethan's 3rd Birthday!! He is such a smart little boy and I can't believe he is already 3. This morning while I was washing dishes, he wanted to sit on the counter with me and hangout. Of course that made me emotional and I shed a few tears, thinking about how grown up he is and how fast he's growing. While he chatted to me about dinosaurs and other 3yr old things, I stopped and asked him "Your going to be my friend forever right?" " Ya Mom..." I just love him so much and am so grateful he is a part of my family!

Then Kaden came over for pizza and FUN!

The Pinata was fun, just like I predicted! I didn't take a lot of pictures, but a bunch of videos of the event!

This year we went as Little Red Riding Hood, The Big bad Wolf, and The Lumber Jack. I was going to go as the grandma, but I never went to get my costume.... but we still had a great time!

Ethan was supposed to be the wolf, but he refused to wear his costume. So Braiden squeezed on his hat and wrist cuffs and painted his face. Ethan was our little Lumberjack. We made a cute bunch!

We went trunk or treating with Mariah, Brad and Tyce, and of course we had a great time!

Marlo was so afraid of Braiden, poor thing, it was kinda funny though, shhhh

'A day late and a dollar short' I guess, next year we'll be spiders, something he wants to wear!!

Fall Fun

Yesterday we went for a fun family night at the straw maze! Braiden and I have never done one before and I thought this year would be a great year to start!

At the front of the maze. We didn't realize how hard it was going to be....

I lost Ethan for about 2 seconds and when I found him he was bent over in the corner saying, "It isn't worth it.." I was laughing pretty hard!

Marlo loved it too! Ethan led most of the way, and Braiden and I just kept track of where we had been. The first 20 minutes we were in the same corner until one of the farmers was on top walking on the bails of hay and gave us a little hint. 45 minutes later, we made it out!

"We made it!" Ethan was So happy when we found the way out!~

Then we went to go look at all the animals. It was a lot of fun. We went on picked our pumpkins and Ethan got some cotton candy. It was a great family night and a fall tradition we will definitely be continuing!!

Marlo had a great 1st birthday! Thank you all for the cards and presents!

Mariah, Brad and Tyce came to celebrate with us on her special day. I cant believe it's already come, it was the fastest year of my life!! Here are some pictures we took....

Her first baby doll, I thought it should be a Cabbage Patch!! She gives baby kisses all the time, its so cute!

We went camping and fishing as a little family trip. It was beautiful and such a peaceful time with just the kids and nature! I loved to have no distractions and just be able to enjoy each others company, here are a few pictures...

Ethan wanted his picture taken and I told him no.... poor thing!

Also in Ethan news, we are AGAIN potty training. He will be 3 soon and is WAY to old to be in diapers. We are trying the 'naked' method, so we wont be leaving the house for a few days. I took him to pick out his own underwear hoping it will help encourage him. I'll let you know how it goes!

As for princess Marlo, she is finally teething, for real this time! Poor thing as a low fever and just wants to snuggle all day, which isn't all bad, cause she is not normally a cuddler so I am LOVING it. She has her bottom 2 teeth , her top fangs(which Jessica says it's because I read to many vampire books while I was pregnant with her! :) And her right top middle tooth is about to cut through. Its been a rough week to say the least!

This is how much fun we had......

I took these pictures not even 5 minutes into our drive home!

We went camping with Braidens whole family last week and we had so much fun! (Wish McKay and Jessica were there!)

We camped near Bear Lake and it was wonderful! Braiden bought this blow up boat and it was a huge hit for everyone! I wish I would have gotten a picture of Maren and Carrie in it!

Dont I have the cutest BFF's EVER!! I love them!

One day we went and hiked the caves and they were beautiful, but WOW am I outta shape!

Before we went camping we went to Boise to go visit my sister Becca and her cute baby bump!

We had a great time just hanging out and talking while we watched the kids play.

Who doesn't love a blow up pool? Ethan and Emma have a brother/sister relationship. One second they are giving hugs and playing sweet, the next Ethan is tackling her.... sorry Emma!

But they sure do love each other and miss each other now that they dont get to play almost every day. Aren't they cute!?

While we were home visiting my family it was Fathers and Sons camp out. Even though Braiden wasn't there( and we all wish he was!) April 30th 1981, my amazing Parents were married! I thought I would share with everyone how amazing they are!

I think they are the most inspiring couple ever! I look up to them so much, and Im so grateful for their example.

My Dad calls this one "The look." And it sure is! This is the face you get when your not listening to her and taking her seriously, and then we start to laugh. Sorry Mom, I'll be a better listener now! LOVE YOU!

I just love them so much and feel truly blessed that they are my parents. Sorry Mom and Dad for being a difficult toddler and teen, but I turned out pretty good....... right? :)

I look at my kids everyday and think how blessed I am to have their sweet spirits in my life! Which is partly why I take so many pictures of them, and because I think they are the cutest kids in the world (obviously). So here are some pictures I recently took, I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

Marlo is ALWAYS happy, unless she just pooped, but who wouldn't get grouchy when there's poop in their pants?

I'm sure Ive said this a million times, but Ethan loves his little sister. It makes me so happy inside!

He had so much fun playing in the tent with Braiden, pretending to be Polar Bears. That's right, not just any old bear, his favorite is the Polar Bear ever since Cabela's.

This was the tent I made before Braiden got home, with out any walls. He still liked it...

Ethan has become the master of distractions! When its time to do something he doesn't want to he comes up with something else to put off whatever it may be. In particular, nap/bed time. "I wanna snuggle" he'll say to me with puppy dog eyes. Its pretty hard to refuse, even after 3 books and 5 songs. So here we are "Snuggling" on the floor of his room before nap time today(and taking pictures...)

Our little Marlo is 6 months today, can you believe it? I can't! Time seems to be speeding up now that we have 2 kids, I thought it was fast with Ethan. Now time is just zooming by. Marlo is rolling around like a crazy woman and scooting her self around as best she can. She's still teething, and still no teeth. She is having a hard time figuring out how to work her mouth when being spoon fed, so she goes through formula like its going outta style. I hope she gets it soon!

She has some hair! I was actually able to clip one of her small bows into her hair yesterday, but it looked a little ridiculous cause her hair isn't THAT long, but I love it!

Today was a rare moment when both kids were napping at the same time. So I decided to take advantage and take one myself. Marlo naps in our room during the day so I settled myself down on the couch with a smile on my face thinking "This will be nice."
I was sound asleep when I got the overwhelming feeling someone was looking at me. I opened my eyes and about jumped right out of my skin when I see this little face 1 inch from mine. I almost used some not so appropriate words as I was so startled, and never expect him to actually get himself out of bed. Then I began to laugh cause he had the sweetest face.
Ethan is still in a crib cause he doesn't like crawling out. Unless he is sick of waiting for Mommy to come and get him.

Those are the crazy eyes that awoke me from my sweet slumber..... :)

Cutie-Pa-Tooties

I have a ton of pictures, and a lot of them are just random, so I'll explain as they come.

The other night Ethan brought some pillows out into the living room before bed. He is starting to get very clever with ways to put off bed time. This particular evening, he was pretending to go to sleep on the living room floor. Naturally I had to take pictures!

I'm not sure why this one wont let me flip it, but it makes me laugh out loud every time I look at it!

Ethan and Marlo are really starting to bond. They love each other so much. Ethan loves to make her laugh, and wants to snuggle her all the time.

Ethan has had some trouble napping lately. My mom sent me an email the other day after I had put Ethan down, saying that he called her twice crying. I've wanted to take Marlo to get her ears pierced once she turned 3 months, but then I felt bad about doing that to her so early. Now tat she's 5 months I figured it was now or never. So we went to the mall and just did it. Braiden didn't want to come and see his little girl cry, so he and Ethan stayed home. She was such a little champ! I felt horrible though, once the lady pierced her first ear I said hurry and do the next one. I felt horrible having to hold her still while she screamed and cried. I almost cried myself. But once they were done, she was fine within 10 seconds after, I'm so proud, and happy that we did it. Isn't she a doll?!

Marlo- 5 months

Has it really been 5 months already? I feel like her birthday is going to be here before we know it. Time just seems to go by so much faster when you have kids, so I try to capture it as best I can with pictures. I took a few this morning before nap time and of course had to share with everyone. Enjoy!

Marlo is now 15 lbs and 25 inches, more than doubled her weight from birth.

She wants to be sitting up most of the time and looking around. She can roll onto her back and is SO close to rolling over onto her tummy.

Marlo likes to chew, chew, chew on her fingers and is getting really good at holding toys and munching on those too. Quite the little drool monster I must say.

Last night was her first night out of our room and sharing one with her big brother. It went A LOT better than I thought. She has out grown the bassinet and we can't fit anything bigger in our room. I prepped Ethan by telling him all day that sis was coming into his room to sleep, so we have to be quiet. He did really well and whispered the whole time he was in there. Ethan didn't wake up when Marlo did, even though she had a rough night. Marlo will take a little more adjusting I think, but in a week I have hopes to see everyone sleeping better!

Marlo's sweet giggle

Marlo is getting so big, she is just over 4 months and now weighs 14.6 lbs and is 25 inches long. She seems huge compared to her birth weight of 6 lbs. She giggles and "talks" up a storm. Well its more of a growl, but still super cute. Marlo can roll onto her back and is trying really hard to roll onto her tummy. She wants to be sitting up and looking at everything all the time. Well lets get to the good stuff... Marlo laughing at her Daddy. Enjoy :)

Merry Christmas

WARNING: Picture Overload!

Come along with us for our Christmas journey. Christmas Eve, Braiden had to work, so Ethan, Marlo and I spent it with my sister Becca and her family. We had a delicious Mexican Christmas Eve with Cesar and his brother. They made Posole and Tamales! I could eat that soup everyday! When I was little it was a tradition for us to watch "How the Grinch stole Christmas" and Becca and I had Ethan and Emma watch it that night too. I still love the movie, and the original cartoon will always be my favorite!

My Dad LOVES Dr. Seuss (so do the rest of us) and for Christmas my parents sent the kids 2 Dr. Seuss books and characters. Ethan got Max and the Grinch, and hasn't put them down yet!

Christmas morning I had to go and wake up Ethan (and Braiden). He was SOUND asleep and I took a few pictures! Now I realize he was actually getting sick :( and is why he so sleepy.

Now I hope you enjoy this little series of pictures. My parents sent the kids outfits for Christmas. So that morning on our way to Braiden's parents we stopped at my sisters to take pictures of all of them together. NONE of them wanted to take a picture and this is how it went.....

I then took Marlo and fed her and put her in her car seat. Becca was genius and wanted them to smile, so toys it is! Becca actually made that little Elephant for Emma the night before, and she even made to pattern... amazing I know!

We never get a picture of them with the kids, and the only way to get Ethan to sit still was to let him hold the singing snowmen.

Its so sad when your babies are sick. Ethan get a nasty cold with a stuffy nose and a sore throat. He passed out on the way home, he would wake him self up when he coughed and would start to cry and say "Mama throat" :( it was sad!

Marlo is 3 months! She's starting to smile and giggle! My little sister Manda sent Marlo a bib and I'm sure all of her Auntie's love her!

It doesn't get much better than a babies smile! As Braiden would say "I want to dip her in chocolate and eat her!"

I love Christmas time, especially now that we have kids. Ethan LOVES Santa, and all of the decorations. This past week my sister and I decorated cookies with our kids, they wanted to eat them more than anything, but it sure was fun! Marlo will be 3 months on friday, can you believe it? I can't! She is starting to smile and giggle and its the best thing EVER! Here are some pictures of whats been going on...

I'll start by saying, sorry. I wish I updated my blog more often, but when I do get some free time I usually sleep, read or watch a bit of TV. But at least I make one right?! I guess I'll just tell you whats been going on with each picture it will be easier that way....

I just wanted to take so pictures with my sweet little boy with the computer. He said, " hug, Mom." so if course I took it!

And then I asked Ethan to smile, and this is what he have me.... haha

I couldn't leave Marlo out! She had her 2 month check up the other day and got her shots. I HATE that part as much as she does! I cant believe how big she's getting, she's now 10 lbs. and 23 inches, tall and skinny, but those cheeks sure are kissable!

Ethan always wants his picture taken... I guess he watches me to often, taking my own picture....?

Braiden and his brother Tanner both blessed our new babies on Sunday in their Dad's ward in Pocatello. It was really nice cause almost the whole family could make it. Marlo is just 2 weeks older than Keaton, and he is SO adorable!! ( Carrie, Marlo and Keaton)

This is the only picture I posted of Ethan's birthday. I didn't make a huge production of it this year with Marlo just arriving. So I had my sister Becca over and Emma for cake and presents. As you can see, it was the ugliest cake I have EVER made, I felt kinda bad, but the kids didn't seem to mind. (Ethan's crying cause he wasn't allowed to touch it.)

And the biggest thing happening right now is Ethan in a toddler bed. I just took this picture about 30 min. ago. This morning Ethan apparently tried to get out of his crib and went head first, so I figured it was time to transition to a toddler bed. We read stories and sang songs together, then it was lights out. Once I closed the door he cried for maybe 5 minutes. I went to check on him about an hour later and I was surprised to see him actually sleeping in his bed. We'll see now if he goes to bed that well the rest of the week. I just cant get over how big he's getting, it's bitter sweet really.

6 weeks and 2 years

My oh my, how time flies! This friday Marlo will be 6 weeks old! I can hardly believe it, I feel like I just found out I was having a little girl. Now she's 6 weeks old and I can't imagine life with out her. She is such a little angel baby! Marlo has her moments where she just does not want to sleep, but she's our little girl and we love her! It really is crazy how much faster time goes by once you have children. Ethan is going to be 2 on friday, and he just gets funnier every day! He's talking so much and always knows what he wants. Sometimes I have no clue what he's talking about, but he sure is cute! Well enough with the chitter -chatter, here are some pictures for ya'll to enjoy!

We went with Emma and Becca, and they are so sweet together. Emma will be such a great big sister some day!

Marlo was our little lamb. We borrowed Emma's costume from her first Halloween. Emma was 7 months old when she wore it, so needless to say it was pretty big, and dang cute!

Ethan doesn't mess around with his lollipops! haha. Braiden and I were farmers and they were our little farm animals.

Sorry I haven't updated in awhile, even with all my moms help, I sleep when I can. We love having Marlo in our family! She is such a sweet little peanut and everyone, including Ethan, wants to give her kisses and hugs all the time. Today she had her first Dr. visit and she is doing great. She's already over her birth weight at 6 lbs 7 oz ( a whole 3 oz!). I'm not sure how much she's grown cause the BYU-I student was helping the nurse and she couldn't get her measurements, but that's OK, we know she's healthy and that's what counts! I've added some pictures, sorry there backwards, I didn't feel like rearranging them. Enjoy!

35 weeks and flying babies

Let the count down begin! I really cant believe how fast this pregnancy is going. I guess I'm just a little more busy this time with a toddler to chase after and take care of to keep my mind on other things. We are getting really excited for her to come and be with us, but at night while I'm tossing and turning trying to find a good position to sleep in I start thinking about it and get a bit nervous. How will they ever share a room, for sleeping mostly. Will they be able to sleep through each others crying fits, will Ethan ever sleep in a toddler bed, will they have the same sleep schedule, will I ever clean anything or cook anything again. Will I ever get Ethan potty trained? It starts to seem really over whelming at times. I know Ill figure it all out, and we'll get into our groove, but initially I'm really scared. Ill just think happy thoughts for now and think of the sweet new baby smell, how she'll just lay on me and sleep and let me snuggle her as long as I want. How much fun I'm going to have dressing her up and giving her little pedicures. How much I know Ethan is going to just LOVE her and want to snuggle her too. See now I feel much better. Well now that Ive gotten that all out here are a few pictures.

So I've lost my camera cord and have no clue where it is, and have to use my sisters computer to upload all my pictures. Which puts me way behind on my blogging! So here are a ton of pictures to update you on last month and this month. Sorry there a bit out of order, and in some cases I only uploaded one picture from the event to keep the post readable! The other day Ethan and I went over to my sister Becca's and made Banana bread with her an Emma. Ethan loved it and didn't want to stop mixing!

I haven't really taken any pregnancy pictures this time around and I feel kinda bad. So I had my sis take a quick picture for me. Im 33 weeks today! This picture was taken just yesterday!

Braiden often decides to take a nap on the living room floor, Ethan usually jumps on him and makes him his own jungle gym! This morning Ethan wanted to snuggle right up to Daddy's bum. I thought it was cute and kinda funny!

We took a camping trip with Braiden's family a few weekends ago and had such a great time visiting with everyone. Ethan had a BLAST playing in the dirt! He wanted to go and explore on his own so bad, but of course we couldn't let him. Braiden was bringing him back and nibbling on his ear. Ethan was laughing SO hard I had to get a picture!

My sister Rebecca's in-laws are visiting for a few weeks and she is an amazing crocheter (sp)! So she's teaching Becca and I how too. This was my first square of the blanket we're making for Marlo. It took me forever!! She kept undoing and redoing parts for me. I finished one in the time she did 5. I did pretty good considering how fast her little hands move and I dont speak spanish!

We took a trip to the Zoo one nice day when Braiden had off. Ethan's favorite was the monkeys!

We're starting on the next chapter in Ethan's life. Potty training. I couldn't be more intimidated by the subject! We are making progress, he doesnt scream any more when we sit him down, but he has yet to actually go potty. Im ok taking time, I dont think he's actually ready yet, I just want to warm him up to the idea.

Kayaking! We had so much fun! We went with my sister Becca and her family. The kids loved it and could have sat in the boat all day! My arms got quite the work out too!

And finally the 4th of july. Jessica and I about to watch the fire works. They moved just a few days after and we sure do miss them!!

So this first picture is from about 2 weeks ago when Mariah and I took a trip to Springville for our friend Catelynns wedding. It was so much fun and the weather was amazing. I had a wonderful time catching up with friends for the weekend baby free!

Im now about 23 weeks along and I feel like this pregnancy is just flying by so far. I feel great, just tired most of the time.

This picture is from today and I just thought it was cute. About 5 o'clock Ethan starts to wind down and get pretty tired, so he decided to go to his room and grab his "baby" and curl up with his sippy.

I know these are great pictures cause there taken with my computer, but Ethan's little face hasn't been seen in awhile. I will hopefully get the ones off my camera this weekend.

These are pictures of Ethan and I this morning sharing an apple. I was so surprised that he wanted one. I was carrying him around the kitchen after breakfast and he leaned over an grabbed the apple out of the bowl. He usually wont eat them when I slice them up and put them on the tray, but this one I took the fist bite and he went to town! I think I had 3 bites of the whole apple and he basically finished it, until there were no places to eat that still had the skin on.

The binky is GONE!! And it went really well. I was more sad about it then Ethan was I think. The first day was the hardest, but he still didn't really care. His second nap of the day he cried for maybe 5 minutes and then went to sleep. Bed time was a BREEZE! The only think I cant get used to is he only takes 1 nap a day now. Which is great cause if we're out we can be out for a lot longer, but about dinner time he starts to get really clingy and it makes it hard to make dinner. He either wants to be on my leg in the kitchen or have me sit in the living room with him while he plays.

And that brings me to my next note. We had our first ultrasound last week and it was so wonderful! We saw the babies little fingers and toes, and I am in love with the little bean already! I feel so blessed and grateful for our little family we are creating. They bring me such joy! Braiden and I are so excited for this little one for multiple reasons. One- to snuggle a tiny little baby again(Ethan is growing so fast) and Two- Ethan will have someone to play with. He is so happy when he gets to play with other little kids, he just laughs and has so much fun. And as much as I LOVE playing and reading books with Ethan, it will be nice for him to have a little companion.

Braiden and I are so excited and anxious to find out what we're having! One more month, what do you think?

I will add pictures soon, I'm so behind I have a million pictures on my camera, but I cant find my cord and I cant put my card in our computer. So once I'm at my sisters I will have a picture and video upload!

So now that Ethan's bottle is successfully gone for about 6 months now, it's time for the binky to go! I don't want to wait to much longer when it will get really hard or impossible, and I know I was a HUGE thumb sucker and I don't want that to happen either, no matter how cute it might be. I just don't want to face that battle!

What I'm trying to say is.... I don't know how. What is a good way or some good ideas? I would really like to hear all of your suggestions.

Little Update

Our little Ethan is 15 months old and growing! He is starting to get so funny and really enjoys playing peek-a-boo with you. He's turning into a little Linus and I love it. When he gets up from a nap or bed the first thing he'll do is hand you his blanky, then he likes to rub it on his face and carry it around the house. If he starts to get bored with his toys he'll throw the blanket over his face a keep walking, its pretty funny! Speaking of walking, he's quite the little machine now and is getting really fast. We love to chase him around the house just as much as he loves it. Well enough of the jibber jabber, here are some pictures. (Sorry my batteries died in my camera so I had to use the computer.)

Sledding and Hair Disasters

Well this weekend my sisters and I wanted to go sledding in the beautiful snow. This made Ethan's first sledding trip and let me tell you, he LOVED it. He found the snow so exciting and so did we. I'm so grateful to have my sisters here with me to share these fun times with! Becca and I picked up her dog Stella and we all went for our little adventure.

And now for the Hair Disaster part of my post. I also wanted to spice things up, and being that I'm growing my hair back out and there really isn't any more room for cutting, why not dye it right? Right......kinda. Ive colored and re-colored my hair more times in my life then I can honestly count, and more often then not has it turned out not quite how I expected ( pink, black and white, bright orange... you get the picture) Well I figured since I had put those days far behind me, why not try it again. Well, would you like to know why not? I'll tell you, because Red hair dye from the box is a BIG no-no when your already blond! So what do I get, an interesting bright coppery orange. Tomorrow I'm going to let a pro do it with some real hair dye! Here are a few pictures to document the hair suicide I have once again committed.

Ethan is getting so big and I love him more and more everyday! He is now getting his first top tooth (3rd tooth) and his smile is just so sweet. Ethan isn't used to his new tooth so he likes to grind it to his bottom 2 teeth and it sends a shock through my whole body! I really hope this new little habit stops soon! The other day he discovered how to stand up, and its so exciting. We just cant get our fill of our baby every day, he is just so precious don't you think?

It was just about nap time and Ethan wanted to come and snuggle Mamma.

Its Been Awhile

I have been falling way behind on my blogging! I know how much I enjoy looking at everyone else's so I'm sorry for the big delay.

Well Ethan is continuing to grow and get more teeth. His third tooth as just broke through and it so cute. He said Dada the other day for the first time and I couldn't be more excited! Now Braiden would argue with me and say that he didn't cause he doesn't know what he's saying, but it doesn't matter, he still said it! Now lets here it for Mama!?

My camera has been slowly dieing and I think it finally had its last moments. So the only pictures I have are from the computer camera, and there a bit blurry, but it's a pic right?

7 Months

Can you believe that Ethan is already 7 months old? Time just flies by while I watch him grow. His little personality is really starting to shine through. He is such a happy boy and smile and laughs all the time. When you tickle his "little" thighs its his best laugh ever, but then shortly after he starts to whine, he doesn't like it very much.

His crawling skills are coming quite along, he's having some trouble trying to figure out how to use both of his legs with his arms at the same time, but he still moves VERY fast!

When he gets his eyes on something he wants, he goes for it!

And of course it goes right in his mouth! Mmmm daddy's big toe! ( yuck!)

Yesterday while I was playing with Ethan he wanted to chew on my fingers, so I let him. All the sudden I feel something sharp in his mouth and I panic, so I take a look and there it is. A shiny white little nub poking out of his gums, HIS FIRST TOOTH! I was immediately elated by my discovery! I will try and get a picture soon, he doesn't like my prying in his mouth very much.

In other exciting news. My parents came for a visit just about a week ago and it was so nice to see them! We had a great time going out to eat, shopping and just hanging out. My sisters and I cooked dinner a few times while they were here and it was a nice change for my mom. We were so glad you guys could visit and we miss you already!

First trip to the Zoo

About 2 weeks ago Ethan and I took a lovley trip to the Idaho Falls Zoo with our good friends Lindsey and Kaden. The weather was perfect and we had a great time. Ethan seemed to enjoy it also once he woke up. The monkeys were so cute, and if people wouldnt think Im totaly crazy I think I would have one for a pet!

Ethan has found a new passion in life, his toes! Of course I think it is absolutely adorable and I love to nibble them as much as he does! He is just growing so fast. I meant to do a post when he turned 6 month but in 3 days he will already be 7 months. It makes me choke up sometimes to think about how fast time goes by, but it also make me happy to see all the new and exciting things he's learning to do. Idaho

SO we have been in Idaho for about a month now, and we are loving it. We have family and friends and our own space, it cant get much better!

The first weekend we got here we went up to Rexburg and my sister Becca and I decided to go have lunch at Wingers because its our favorite! Emma is getting so big, she turned 1 in March and she can walk and even drink with a straw, how cute!

This Sunday was Easter and a beautiful one at that. The weather was great. Becca had an Eater egg hunt for Emma and Ethan, neither of them knew what to do, but we always had one every year (even last year, big kids and all) so we had to have one for our babies. Ethan just wanted to suck on the plastic egg.

How Embarrassing

So we are finally in Idaho! We are so excited to be here and start the next chapter in our lives. Ethan did AMAZING in the car, I was really surprised. As long as he had eaten and a clean diaper he didn't mind hanging out and looking out the window, or he would take a nap. When it came to day 5 in the car he was more then ready to get out, he didn't nap but for 30 min. or our 10 hour drive and he was not happy about just hanging out. So we are all happy that the car ride is over!

We don't move into our apartment for another 2 weeks so Braiden's parents are kind enough to let us stay with them until then. I will be so excited once all of the moving is done. All of our stuff is still in boxes and I don't really want to unpack anything and just have to pack it all back up again, but I am looking forward to our own place.

Here is a fun story. This weekend we went up to Rexburg to go visit my sisters and Braiden's twin brother McKay and his wife Jessica. It is so good to see them and have friends to hang out with again. Yesterday while Braiden was out with McKay and Jessica was at school, my sister and I decided to go have lunch together. I was waiting for Ethan to wake up from his nap and it was coming on a 3 hour nap and almost 12:30. So I decided to pack him up and he could finish sleeping in the car ride, then I would feed him when I got to my sisters house just 3 minutes away. We get out to the car I unlock it and set my things on the seat and close the door. I get to the back to put Ethan in the car and its locked. "What?! You've got to be kidding me?!!!" When I opened the door to unlock the back, I just re-locked it again. As I stare at the diaper bag on the front seat with my phone and the keys sitting next to them I have no idea what to do. So I went upstairs to borrow someones phone and eventually Braiden answered. When I told him what I did he didn't believe me and then asked if I locked Ethan in the car too. Braiden and McKay came back and tried to unlock it themselves with a wire hanger( If we weren't in Rexburg, I'm sure the people driving by would have called the police). After an hour of them trying and Ethan screaming cause I'm a terrible mother and his bottle and formula were in the car, a stake president pulled up behind them and had all the fun tools to brake into a car and saved the day. I was so embarrassed. I have never locked the keys in the car before and I felt so bad cause Ethan was so hungry.
There is a lot to read and no pictures because my camera cord is packed away and I don't want to go dig around for it until we unpack. So pictures will be coming soon.

Too Many pictures

I can never pick just a few pictures to post. I take a ton through out the week and then have a huge post of mainly pictures, so I'm sorry for the lack of writing. All of our posts these days are on Ethan because he's the only exciting part of our life right now. Ethan will be 4 months on Wednesday. I can't believe it! He is getting so big and aware of his surroundings. He looks around for you when you say his name, it all makes me so proud.

Sleepy Head

So for Valentine's day I had to go to work to give my Grandma her special manicure. Braiden and Ethan came with me cause we were going out to lunch afterwards. Ethan was getting so cranky and it wasn't his nap time. All the sudden he got really quiet, so I figured he just calmed down and realized everything was ok. I walked over and he is past out cold. It was really cute so I had to take a picture!

I just love this one of him, he looks so grown up! My mom thinks he looks like Skyler, which is a definite compliment cause he is adorable as anything!

Bath Time

So the other day I told you all that Ethan sucks on his fists cause he cant find his hands. Well I guess I was wrong! When he gets a hold of it he goes to town! This was bath time last night before bed. I know it's a bad habit to let them start, but its so cute. He was just sucking his thumb and zoning out while I poored the warm water on him, he was starting to fall asleep. So bed time went very smooth last night. When I was giving him his bath last night I about started to cry, just looking at him and how big he is getting. It happens SO fast and I just cherish every moment with him even when he starts to drive me crazy I just love him. Its amazing the joy such a small little being can bring you. Babies are the most amazing gift and blessing that our Heavenly Father gives us. I wouldn't trade him for anything in the world. I feel so blessed to have him in our family. Ethan shows us what is really important while we are on this earth. Our family, and helping each other return to our Heavenly Father.

My Little Lumberjack

So I absolutely LOVE this shirt! My Mom and I went to Old Navy the other day and they have AMAZING sales on baby clothes. This shirt was already marked down twice to $2.99 then it was 50% off of that! How could i NOT buy it! So I bought him 2 shirts and they remind me of little lumberjack shirts. I didn't realize how much fun it could be to dress a boy! I just love our little man to death!

I'm his mother and of course I think he's cute, but how can anyone resist chubby cheeks? Ethan is getting so big and growing up so fast! Yesterday for the first time he rolled over and it was so cute. He would start to rock side to side to get his momentum and finally roll himself over. And the we put him back on his tummy to have him do it again. It was really cute and I'll have to try and get a video of it. Lately he will 'hold' his bottle when he eats and yet again I think it's so cute. It's the little things that excite you when you become a mom.

He also LOVES to suck on his hands, not his thumb cause he cant find it! His whole hand! The other day Braiden and I were driving up to my grandmothers and I could hear him sucking on his fist.

Drool monster. As of late he has become VERY drooly. I just think his face in this picture is funny. He makes me laugh!

Little Dancer

Just before Becca and Emma left for Idaho we had dinner up at my grandmas house. My grandma still has the little dolls and little chair me and my sisters used to play with when we were little and of coarse Emma loved them just as much. Once Grandma turned the music on Emma was movin' and groovin', it was so cute!

So yesterday we had a break through! Ethan no longer just laughs in his sleep. He actually laughs at you! Ethan was in his bed just hanging out and Braiden was clapping his hands and saying his name. He thought it was SO funny. It made me giddy with joy! I was really sad though because I couldn't find my camera. I have a sound clip on my phone but I don't know how to get it to the computer, so I will have to try again another time.

The Twins Turn 25

I thought for a long time what to do/get Braiden for his 25th birthday. I wanted it to be enjoyable, after all 25 is a landmark birthday. If I had it my way, I would have enough money to fly McKay and Jessica out and they could spend their birthday together. So I had to think of the Next best thing. A Pinata!! It turned out really well and we all had a lot of fun. To go with our pinata we had fajitas with homemade guacamole and salsa thanks to my sister. To finish off the night Braiden and I made fried cheesecake with strawberry sauce and whipped cream, it was AMAZING! Here are a few pictures from the night. Enjoy

Grandma didn't realize that guacamole isn't the main dish. So we told her you just have a little, and she ate it that way anyways. She really likes it!

Braiden got a new hat, hoodie and slippers. I bought him a prince crown a guitar shaped pinata and lots of candy for the inside!

We all got a chance to hit the pinata, even Grandma. As you can see from my parents faces it was VERY entertaining!

12 weeks today!

Ethan is getting so big and a bunch cuter! He is getting better at sitting up(assisted) and can hold his head up really well too. He now has rice cereal in one bottle at night because he is just eating SO much its the only way to slow him down! I feel so blessed to have Ethan in our lives. He teaches me patience and how to be a better person. Ethan brings such joy to our family we cant imagine life with out him.

Sweet Babies

After Amanda left in the beginning of January, Becca and Emma came to stay with us. They will be here for a few months until school starts again. We really wish Cesar could be here with them to make everything complete. Emma and Ethan are both getting so big and they both want to play with each other. Ethan just lays there for now while Emma kisses and pets him, it's really sweet. Emma is already 10 months and Ethan will be 12 weeks next Wednesday!

Emma really wants Ethan to come and play with her, she'll just play with his toys for now.

Emma loves her baby cousin Ethan. She only gives kisses to him and Grandpa. The rest of us have to beg.

Looking Ahead

I'm really excited for March to come! Braiden was excepted to BYU-Idaho and we will be moving! Ethan will get to meet all the rest of his Aunts and Uncles and get to play with his cousins which really makes me happy. We will definitely miss Grandma and Grandpa here, but are looking forward to the new adventures to come!

The day before Amanda left for Idaho!! We are going to miss her for the few months she's gone!

Braiden and I went down to MD to visit McKay and Jessica while they were there with her parents for Christmas. Ethan was amazed with Uncle McKay's magical fingers!

While we were there Jessica's family went hunting for a Christmas tree and the coldest possible day! But it was still fun!

When we got to MD, Braiden and I stayed at Jessica's Grandma's house who was so nice to let us stay there. As we were getting ready for bed, we realized we didn't bring anything for Ethan to sleep in, so this dresser drawer worked PERFECT!

Super cute niece Emma

Thursday night my sister surprised me with my niece Emma, I was so excited to see her! She is getting so big! I was happy that she could make it to be there with us on Saturday when we would get sealed in the temple.

The lights are so beautiful at the temple at Christmas time. I was really happy to go through this time of year.
